Finding a Sustainable Hairstylist - For Clients

As people are looking for sustainable alternatives to support their individual actions of creating cleaner, less wasteful routines, and by proxy, a better planet.

The beauty and salon industry is so inherently wasteful. It can be hard to find a salon or stylist in general, let alone a sustainable one, so we collected a few lists that you can utilize to find the beauty businesses that you feel good supporting!

Individual actions, when performed by multiple people, create waves that change the world every day. Finding beauty professionals that align with your values is a great way to vote for your dollar, support local, and create a demand for others to go the same path.

If your beauty service providers aren’t necessarily “sustainable”, these are great resources to show them! Get them involved in the new way the salon industry is moving.

Side Note from Hannah: If you’re a salon owner and don’t know where to start - check out Green Salon Collective to start recycling your hair clippings.
