Our GEN2 Eco-Lashes: PNW

giggling with some tree pals (“Washington” Lashes worn here)

It’s been over 1 year since we launched our original plant-based strip lashes; and we’re proud to announce that we have done it again! We are officially launching “PNW Salonvironment Lashes; 2nd Generation”. Our two styles (named after the Pacific Northwest) are “Washington” and “Oregon”.

I wanted to name this series after the Pacific Northwest states for a few reasons. The first one is to uplift and spread awareness about the work these states are doing to head towards cleaner waste disposal methods, also because I used to live over on the west coast for a bit and wanted to pay my tribute to the nostalgia.

Washington:

Washington passed SB5022 on July 25, 2021.
What this policy goes over is:

  • a ban on polystyrene (styrofoam)

  • giving the consumer an option to ask for single-use items such as plastic straws and plastic silverware

  • and requiring a minimum amount of recycled plastic used in plastic packaging

These lashes are great for a fuller look. They are long, fluffy, and are great for more drama!

Oregon:

Oregon passed The Plastic Pollution and Recycling Modernization Act (Senate Bill 582) in 2021.
What this policy does is:

  • create better accessibility for communities to recycle as well as finding end markets for the recyclables

The new law became effective Jan. 1, 2022 and recycling program changes will start in July 2025.

These lashes are great for the more subtle look. They are long but you can easily dress these up or dress them down. Great for bridal parties!

What’s great about our lashes:

  1. Pro-Animal (vegan & cruelty-free)

  2. 91% derived from Cannabis

  3. Reusable up to 30 wears (or more depending on how you care for them)

  4. Recyclable & compostable

There are a few changes that we decided to try on this new generation:

  1. Box of 4 pairs instead of 1 to save on material

  2. A QR code to show you how to dispose of your packaging + lashes properly

One last thing to be aware of:
The lash adhesive is very strong and the whole strip (where it’s glued to) might come off with it.
Just remove right when you get it for easier access in the future.

They will be sold individually online from our store as well as open for bulk ordering for distributors and retailers! Click the button to take your to our retail page as well as how to contact us.

I think it’s good to be transparent about our products. Not only that, I like to be honest about the process of them! I’m very proud to work with the manufacturer I do have because they are so good to me and listen to what I want in a product. However, depending on what you want, some things can’t be done (or done in the time frame you want). This collection might not be perfect in terms of sustainability - but I think we’re on a great path to make them as environmentally conscious as we can, bringing together beauty and better impact.
